mercury element highlight



Mercury is a very dense liquid metal. A person laying in a lake of mercury will only sink a few inches. Mercury is used in thermometers because it has a large thermal expansion. It also can be used for a paint pigment. Mercury also has a name for poison because it can enter your nervous system and drive you to madness. The number of protons,electrons and neutrons is 80.
